NuCel, Nubank's virtual mobile network service, surpassed 1 million customers, becoming Brazil's largest MVNO one and a half years after the start of operations. Largest MVNO in Brazil
NuCel, Nubank's virtual mobile network service, surpassed 1 million customers, becoming Brazil's largest MVNO, and is now available to under-18-year-olds. The milestones reinforce Nu's commitment to deepening the relationships with its customers, including with younger generations.

🏆 Recognition & Awards

David Vélez was recognized by Forbes on the inaugural Iconoclast 50 list, which honors leaders who are challenging the status quo and making an outsized impact in real time.

Nubank was named to Fortune's inaugural Crypto Innovators list, which recognizes companies advancing the digital asset ecosystem through breakthroughs in technology, infrastructure, security, research, and adoption.

Forbes named Armando Herrera in its 30 Innovation Leaders list in Mexico. The article highlighted Nu for disrupting traditional banking. The company was also recognized in the 2026 edition of Expansión's The 500 Most Important Companies in the country, advancing 53 positions compared to the previous year.

👤 New Leadership

Rob Livingston is Nu's new CFO, succeeding Guilherme Lago, who is transitioning to the role of Special Advisor. Livingston brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services, most recently serving as CFO for North America at Visa.

Nubank appointed John Walton as CISO. He will report to CTO Eric Young and has over 25 years of experience in security and engineering leadership.

🌐 Financial

Nu announced a US$1 billion share repurchase program, as its operations are now generating significant capital.

The company also shared with the market that it completed a public offering of BRL 1.59 billion in Financial Bills, with demand exceeding BRL 3 billion.

🇨🇴 Colombia

To mark its 5th anniversary in Colombia and reaffirm its commitment to its 5 million local customers, Nu announced a ~US$130 million investment for 2026.

🇧🇷 Brazil

Opening in August, Nubank Arte Lab will be Brazil's largest permanent immersive art space. Customers will have special benefits and discounts.

CPF Monitoring is a new feature developed in partnership with Acordo Certo and integrated into NuScore. The tool allows customers to track and act on debts across multiple financial institutions directly in the Nu app.

Vantagens Nu got a major upgrade with the launch of games, quizzes, and competitions directly in the app. Customers can test their knowledge in themed challenges and compete for exclusive discounts and prizes.

Nu Viagens data shows Santiago leading international winter holiday bookings for July by users in Brazil, followed by Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Paris, and Madrid.

🇲🇽 Mexico

Nu kicked off the match season with "Club Sin Peros", a brand campaign in collaboration with Netflix, featuring actress Mariana Treviño and football player Hugo Sánchez.

David Vélez spoke to "O diário de um fundador" about his belief that a strong culture and well-defined values can't be replicated, and how this became the strategic pillar for Nubank's growth.

Nubank is among the top 10 most advanced companies in Latin America, incorporating AI in processes, according to Santander research based on earnings conference calls from 118 businesses.

For the second consecutive year, Nubank is the most-mentioned financial institution among Brazilians as their primary bank for financial transactions, according to Okiar research.

Juliana Roschel detailed Nu's strategy to attract high-income customers through Nubank Ultravioleta, as well as the company's approach to staying relevant while gaining scale.

Nubank's chief economist, Fernando Genta, and senior consultant Arnildo Correa joined Perspectivas, the series promoted by Nubank and InvestNews, to announce Nu's new macroeconomics area and discuss Brazil's financial scenario.
